Clarifying that "noise-supressing" dynamic mic is built using this idea... But I don't know to which extent this effects the SM58s vs a small Capsule Condensers. And I know that there are condensers made for live use too. I would love to hear a test!

Yes but which external conditions? If you take this mic I mentioned for example, at close source, his response curve will be completely different when compared to what it is like at far field. A different mic would show a totally different behaviour. It's my *guess* that a dynamic mic designed for live applications will show a different behaviour than a small capsule condenser for studio applications in this regard. I will try to make test to see/hear what happens.
